Languages

Voiceavel supports over 100 languages for transcription, with automatic language detection or manual selection.

Auto-Detection

By default, Voiceavel automatically detects the language you're speaking. This works well for most common languages, especially with Cloud, OpenAI, and Groq providers.

Tip: If auto-detect picks the wrong language (which can happen with short phrases or accented speech), switch to manual language selection for more reliable results.

Manual Selection

For better accuracy, you can set a specific language in the menu bar settings. This is recommended when:

• You always speak in the same language
• You're using a less common language
• You want faster transcription (skips detection)

Serbian Transliteration

Voiceavel includes built-in Serbian transliteration support. When Serbian is selected as your language:

• Transcribed text can be automatically converted between Cyrillic and Latin scripts
• Choose your preferred script in settings
• Works with all three providers

Supported Languages

Voiceavel supports all languages available in the Whisper model, including but not limited to:

English, Serbian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), Korean, Thai, Arabic, Hindi, Turkish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and many more.
